The Right time…

Standard

Have you ever positioned at the right place at the right time? What do you do? Do you freak out and hide or do you step up and shine? I have spent many years preparing for my calling and when I finally got to the moment I had been preparing for I almost wanted to hesitate. What was interesting was how after so much preparation there was no time for hesitation, there was only time to move. How do you let your instinct take over your fear? You Just Let Go and move! After the moment you are filled with so much fullfiment and alignment! So don’t ever think your not moving just because your in a season of preparation, you never know how fast the time can come when it’s time to move! Stay encouraged and focused on the mission, mainly preparing for It!

How do you become different than your environment?

Standard

Have you ever felt like you were the only one in your family or circle of friends that was different? Like somehow everyone was headed in one direction and you seem to be heading in a completely different direction?  How do separate yourself to go on your own path? For me it was always staying focused on my maker, it wasn’t always easy and there were many time I conformed to my surroundings, but my source always redirected me to where I needed to be. This thing we call life is a journey and only living one moment, one day at a time, can we stay on our path not the choices our family or friends make. When you get lost or need some clarity “just breath” and know that your path has already been laid out and all you have to do is decide where to take your next step! Who will you put your trust in?

Are you rebellious?

Standard

Have you ever hit the snooze button instead of waking up? Why is it we would rather sleep in than be obedient to the day? When the alarm rings it’s time to start a new day! A new day of possibilities, new adventures or encounters, why would we want to prolong the day! These are questions I have recently began to ask myself. Do we like dream land better or are we just being lazy and wanting to sleep more? This is a tough one for me,  on one hand a new day is exciting but on the other dream land is just as interesting and some days it’s just easier to stay asleep than face the day. How can we stay motivated to not rebel against the alarm? I think for me it’s the adventure of where the day will take me, the moments I’ll get to share with a special someone, it’s a surprise you just don’t know where you will find the romantic moments in the day. A Romantic moment is a moment in your day that simply takes your breath away, we should be hunting for these moments and appreciating them with everything we are! How do you know you just had a romantic moment, well that’s between you and your maker and what’s important to you and how it makes you feel!

The Sacrifice…

Standard

Do you ever think of the sacrifice that was made to get you to where you are today? That has been the biggest thing that has been on my heart, the sacrifice that was made by my mother to get me to the point where I’m at today. She sacrificed her freedom, her life and family. What kind of person gives up everything they are and want to be for someone else who might not appreciate it. How do you know the sacrifices you make today will be appreciated later? Do you still make them anyway? I guess one can never know how what you do today will affect those around you tomorrow, all we can do is pray the seeds we plant take root. How do you plant the good seeds? You do it by living as an example, to the best of your ability. My mother was far from perfect but she did one thing right, she Loved her children with everything she had to point of letting us make our own mistakes or letting go when she wanted us to so desperately stay. I want to thank all the women who took the time to plant the good seeds in my life. Those seeds took root, some deeper that others but all were very impactful. Never underestimate where good seeds come from. My mother did the best she could and the rest was filled in by many woman (mainly my step in moms, my aunts) to propel me to heights I have yet to reach. So if you are a mother or just a step in, investing in someone else’s life be encouraged it may take time but those seeds will bloom.

How do we live in Purpose?

Standard

Have you ever felt you were meant to do more than what you are currently doing? So have I, but what do you do once you know there is more you should be doing? ¬†How do you live in the purpose you feel you should be in or how do you know what that purpose really is? These are all questions I have asked myself and only going through a process of finding out what that purpose is will you truly find out. I started this process many years ago and let me tell you it was not easy. It started with how I saw myself, for the longest time I did not think very highly of myself and my conduct showed it. Once I got to a point where I just knew I couldn’t keep going on the path I was on and something had to change, God could truly begin His work in my life. I then moved to the next Phase of the Process, leaning to deal with the pain I had been through (that pain is for another time). Once I dealt with the pain then came the healing of my heart. What comes after healing, a breaking down of everything you are and everything you are used, it must all be stripped away. Do not worry my friends the hard part is over after the break down, because then comes the rebuild and this my friends is where transformation happens! No one ever said the process was going to be easy and I can assure you after spending more than 10 years in the process and only recently coming out of it, it is hard. I guarantee once you get to the other side of the process you will look back at the journey and be able to encourage so many others who still have to go through their process. The most encouraging words I received during my process was to enjoy it because it only happens once. Do not lose faith in the middle of your process instead press in and keep moving forward one day you will be out of the process and living in your purpose!
